Club meeting 28 December 2025
Our final meeting of 2025 was today, and it was all Napoleonic with four games played.
Thanks to everyone who supported the club this year. We'll be back with our first meeting on the 11th of January. See you then!

Club meeting 14 December 2025
Holiday season is approaching, a quiet time for some, but for others it's Cancon training season! We had three Napoleonic Glory is Fleeting games which gave us a chance to try out army lists and give some entertainment to visitors and spectators as well.
There's one more meeting scheduled this year on the 28th of December. That falls nicely between Christmas and New Years and there are already several games being arranged for that day. Hope you can join us for the final meeting of the year.

Club meeting 30 November 2025
Today was one of the busiest days we have seen at the club recently. Words of Steel, the Saga competition, attracted twelve players. It was great to see all the visitors as well as local players.

Club meeting 23 November 2025
Some interesting games in action at the club today - Robert and Shaun had a couple of 25mm games of Irregular Wars (at the world's end!) using Vijayanagara Indians and Portuguese. Al, Grant and Kit played a splendid game of 1/72 WWII using the classic Charles Grant rules. And we had three Napoleonic games too:

At the club today we had four 15mm Napoleonics games, and with Words of Steel coming up at the end of the month, some practice games using the tournament scenarios.

Club meeting 28 September 2025
As well as PoP, we also had a couple of Saga games at the club. Ben, Greg and Marcel had a game using Huns and Saracens, and then in a second Age of Chivalry game Ben's Burgundians took on Greg's English.


Push of Pike (DBR) 27-28 September 2025
Our annual 15mm DBR tournament has 11 players this year. The theme of the this year's tournament is armies of Asia. There's an excellent range of armies in action - Ottoman Turks, Mamluks, Persians, Indians, Tibetans, Mongolians, Chinese, Korean and Japanese.

Club meeting 24 August 2025
Today was Saga Sunday and we saw a couple of interesting games. One was using the Fantasy era rules with Undead taking on Elves, and in an Age of Chivalry game there was an interesting breached fortification scenario. With Call to Arms coming up next week, we had five practice games of Napoleonics

Club meeting 30 March 2025
A great club meeting today! We had several Saga games, Napoleonics, and Kings of War. I think the highlight of the day though was the demo participation game of Angels One Six, Phil Yates' new WWII aerial combat game. Pretty much everyone at the club joined in for a mission or two, and the response was overwhelmingly enthusiastic.

Club meeting 9 March 2025
At today's club meeting, we had several 15mm DBMM ancients games. It was great to get the old armies out again. Ancients used to be a really strong period at the club and there was lots of interest in playing more ancient games. Also at the club, a Kings of War game between a couple of really nice armies.

Annual General Meeting 23 February 2025
At the A.G.M. we re-elected the committee - El Presidente Steve Eyles, Treasurer Kit Goldsbury, and Secretary Stu Todd.
We'll be running a programme of events similar to last year - Flames of War, Kings of War, DBR Push of Pike, and Saga. Exact dates to be announced soon.

Thanks again to everyone for supporting the club over the past year, and we're looking forward to a thriving 2025 with more activity at the club.

As well as the A.G.M., we had quite a few games happening. It was the first Saga Sunday of the year, attracting 8 players in 6 games. Some Napoleonics and two quite different WWII games rounded out the day.
